Spotlight on – in Bratislava, capital of Slovakia – on culture: from 7 to 10 November 2019 the beautiful Danubian city hosts a large book fair that, for the occasion, doubles and devotes ample space not only to adult readers, but also to those much younger. Biblioteka, this is the title of the event, includes a wide range of publications aimed at people of all ages; but just for children and young people another event is conceived, entitled “Pedagogy”, which instead focuses on educational aspects and pedagogical languages, realized not only on paper supports – traditional books – but also through software and various school tools interactive.
Alongside the two main exhibitions, the same venue – the Incheba Expo – hosts an exhibition of minerals, precious stones and fossils called “Bratislava Minerals”. Also not to be missed is a new section called “Retro Bratislava”, a nice old-fashioned market where enthusiasts and collectors can choose from a wide range of old books, maps, postcards, prints and vinyl records.
